Team Cardiac Arrest on Big Blue

Dave did Big Blue as well all by his lonesome self. Here’s his take on the race.

The Strangeness of Big Blue

We’re all home from Big Blue!  Team Powerstrangers accumulated 83 hours of driving in various vehicles to and from Lake Tahoe for a little over 16 on the race course itself! We are stoked to have been there, though! Hail at the start seemed appropriate. Lightning strikes on Lake Tahoe cancelled the kayak section mid-paddle stroke, so we all piled onto bikes and headed out for a cold, wet ride up and down across the new snow line. Checkpoints could be done in any order, so racers were everywhere and going every direction. We thought we lost Devin on the orienteering section, but he cheerfully walked back into camp just as we were about to depart in search party mode. That food at the finish tasted pretty good!  What’s next!?
