Devin, born and raised in Chicago's northwestern suburbs, spends much of his life running, camping, working, and napping. Since starting in college in 2003, he has held seven jobs at five different world class instituations, including Michigan State University, Honeywell International, Target Corporation, Gannett Company, and Motorola. In the first four months of 2007, he traveled more than 5000 miles in his car road-tripping across the eastern United States. After graduating with two bachelor's degrees from MSU in May 2007, he drove across the country to start working at the hottest company in Silicon Valley.
His never-stop-exploring attitude has led him to backpacking throughout the northern Midwestern states, endurance training in the Porcupine Mountains, organic farming in the Appalachians, volunteering at his church and hometown park district, competing on the Michigan State University Men's Cross Country and Track teams, commuting to work daily (actually, everywhere, since he sold his car) on his bike, and most recently, adventure racing.
Watching adventure races on television growing up, Devin created obstacle courses in his backyard and raced his friends through them. His appetite for fearlessly exploring new things in life has led him to Primal Quest. Pushing himself to new physical and mental extremes, he sees Primal Quest as an opportunity to simultaneously unify his diverse interests, while growing new skills.
