Raised in Calgary, Alberta, Ginny has grown up (!) surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains. Inspired by movement and a good puzzle, Ginny calls traditional climbing her first love, but is also keen on investing sweat in a backcountry run or on a mountain bike trail. Having competed in several smaller adventure races and determining the sport a great fit for her cheerleader/full-steam-ahead style, Ginny is thrilled to be part of such an eclectic team and headed to "the world's toughest endurance race..." There could have been no better title to lure her in!

The quest for true balance may be akin to finding the Holy Grail, but in the endeavor Ginny has easily found a love for spending time with family (2 year olds offer such an intense, joyful perspective!), volunteering at the Zoo, and is currently making the transition from Firefighter to Disaster Services officer for the City of Calgary.
